My mission is to bring awareness to the effects of toxic stress and trauma on the body, mind, and soul by using the approach I created—one that became both my method and my medicine. Founded in 2016, by Natalie Brooks, therapy, healing, and education come together. As a psychotherapist, certified MBT supervisor, and Registered Yoga Teacher with decades of experience, I teach people how to heal from the root up - body, mind, and soul. Beyond individual therapy, I offer courses for all people that teach how to personalize my method for their unique nervous and emotions, and symptoms, as well as specialized trainings for therapists designed to strengthen and expand the skills gained in Mentalization-based therapy training.

Mindwell
Embodied Consciousness is mind-body healing approach for chronic stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, and eating disorders, blending traditional psychotherapy and yoga science. It is an integrative path to deep nervous system and emotional regulation, and self-trust that fosters deep healing and lasting transformation. Mentalizing without the body risks becoming intellectualized detachment; embodiment without reflective awareness risks becoming unintegrated feeling. Together, they create a bridge between knowing and sensing, between the mind’s narrative and the body’s truth. Both invite us into a state of awareness, emotional regulation, and trust in our internal experience.

Natalie Brooks, MA, LMFT
Natalie Brooks, MA, LMFT, RYT, is the founder of Mindwell and the creator of the Somatic Mentalizing and Affect Regulation Therapy (SMART) and Embodied Consciousness models. Drawing on more than two decades of clinical practice, teaching, and research, she integrates evidence-based psychotherapy with the science of yoga to foster deep, lasting transformation. A certified Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT) Therapist and Supervisor, as well as a Radiant Body Yoga teacher, Natalie has supported hundreds of clients in healing from chronic depression, complex trauma, toxic stress, and eating disorders.
